We accept useful, clean, practical items that are needed by our clients. Although we have a large warehouse, we do not accept everything. Please help us keep to our mission and be zero waste by donating only goods our clients can use. All items must be fully functional, hygienic and safe. They should be complete, with all legs, cushions and other parts. See more specific information below.
As a rule, we do not accept large furniture pieces, or unnecessary, decorative or fancy items. We also will not accept broken, rusted, or torn items. See the list below.
Not sure if we can take it? We reserve the right of refusal, so please call at 978-441-9474 or email us at email@example.com to make sure it will be accepted.
Items NOT accepted:
We do NOT accept desks, drop side cribs, used toys, console TVs, large furniture that will not fit in a minivan (e.g., hutches, entertainment centers), baskets, wine glasses, pictures, file cabinets, office furniture, sports gear, athletic equipment or cleats, nothing that requires any installation including light fixtures and wall shelving, no window blinds, valences or custom fit goods, no used dirty trash cans, toilet brushes, plungers, nothing under $5 in value, nothing dirty.
Items accepted for a Fee:
Accepted for a recycling fee of $5, working or not: small TVs ($20 for heavy ones 19″ or more – no console TV’s), outdated electronics such as record players or cassette players, computers, CPU’s (limit 3), printers, non-working washers, dryers, refrigerators and fax machines. Please be kind and inform us if it doesn’t work.
Accepted for a recycling fee of $20: 19″ or larger or heavy TVs
Mattresses and Bed Frames: We welcome Twin, Full, Queen, large hotel donations of mattresses, bunk beds, futon sets or frames, toddler beds, daybeds, trundles, cots and air mattresses. NO KINGs, PLATFORM BEDS, CAPTAINS BEDS, WATER BEDS, HOSPITAL BEDS.
Clothing: All seasons and sizes including shoes, coats, belts, bras, ties, baby clothing and dresses. NO USED UNDERWEAR OR SOCKS.
Kitchen Tables and Dinette Sets: We welcome complete sets, single tables, and sets or pairs of chairs (must be sturdy and fully functional). If it only needs paint or a screw, please consider doing that before donating. NO LARGE HUTCHES OR CHINA CABINETS. NO SINGLE CHAIRS.
Furniture: We accept sofas, sleep sofas, arm chairs, coffee tables, end tables, TV stands, nightstands, sets of TV trays, office chairs, recliners, rocking chairs, dressers, bookcases, loveseats, microwave carts. NO EXTRA LARGE ITEMS.
Household Linens: We welcome sheets, comforters (not down), quilts, blankets, clean pillows, curtains that cover windows, towels, shower curtains, new shower liners, bathroom rugs, clean area rugs (no pet hair or mold), towels (worn is okay), tablecloths. It is very helpful to us if bedding and window curtains are labeled with size. NO DUVET COVERS, DOWN COMFORTERS, NO USED SHOWER CURTAIN LINERS, VALENCES, MINI-BLINDS, NO PLACE MATS AND NAPKINS, NO DIRTY ITEMS, OR ITEMS USED BY PETS.
Kitchen Items: We welcome these in sets: dishes, small bowls, drinking glasses, silverware. We also welcome pots, pans, can openers, utensils, baking pans, large knives, casserole dishes. NO SINGLE DISHES, NO DIRTY ITEMS, NO TUPPERWARE TYPE USED ITEMS.
Baby Gear: We accept car seats, boosters, changing tables, Pak-n-Plays, strollers, combo-strollers, high-chairs, bouncy seats, swings, monitors, bottles, unopened unexpired formula and baby food, etc. NO DROP-SIDE CRIBS.
Small and Medium Appliances: We accept air conditioners (in summer), heaters (in winter), fans, lamps, microwaves (we never have enough of these), hand mixers, hair dryers, curling irons, coffee makers, sewing machines, clocks, clock radios, irons, toaster ovens, toasters, blenders, food processors. NO CHANDELIERS, CEILING FANS, WALL SCONCES, NO BUILT IN MICROWAVES.
Large Appliances: We welcome washers, dryers, refrigerators, electric stoves, working or not, for a $5 fee each. They must have power cords and hoses. PLEASE let us know if they work or not, or label them with tape to let us know.
Electronics: We welcome working game systems, MP3/4s, walk-mans, alarm clocks, radios, boom boxes and DVDs. If it is current and useful with today’s media, we can take it. If it is not, we can recycle it. We welcome computers free only from corporate lot donations. Home CPUs and computer monitors are accepted (less than 3 at once) for $5 recycling fee.
Outdated Electronics: These are accepted for a $5 recycling fee each. This includes stereo turntables, cassette decks, VCRs, printers, scanners, typewriters, record players, etc. NO CONSOLE TVs ACCEPTED AT ALL. They are too difficult to recycle.
