We are NOT a thrift store. Clients must request goods to get them and we only handle wishes for BASIC things. 
We cannot accept anything that is broken, dirty or purely decorative
including used toys. 
Things NOT accepted: desks, toys, baskets, pictures, file cabinets, office furniture, anything broken damaged or dirty, sports gear, athletic equipment or

cleats. Nothing that requires installation like light fixtures.

If it needs fixing or cleaning, please fix it and then donate it to us. We have no staff to repair or paint things. No medicine or specialized medical equipment that requires a prescription or nurse. The gift is in the giving so if it is easy to repair please do that before passing it on.

$5 recycling fee for the following (working or not): 


Outdated electronics such as record players or cassette players, computers, CPU's

(limit 3), printers, non-working washers, dryers, refrigerators, fax machines,
Portable TV's ($20  for heavy ones that take 2 people to lift- no console TV's)


We welcome a wide variety of home, baby and other goods:

CLOTHING AND SHOES: We welcome clothing, shoes, belts, boots, coats etc.  Casual, all sizes from baby to very large adult.  Seasonal appropriate please. We are helping the homeless of today and do not store things.


BABY GEAR  (NO MORE THAN 8 YEARS OLD): Cribs (fixed side ONLY), strollers, swings, Pack-N-Plays, bassinets (with bedding please), crib bedding, baby towels, car seats, high chairs, bouncy seats, boppys, bumpos, breast pumps and changing tables. Diapers welcome even open packs. Formula in date if can is sealed.

For a small fee we can help you recycle/dispose of older baby gear. Call for quote.

COUCHES AND LOVE SEATS : Must have all cushions and legs - no rips

We reserve the right to reject couches that are dirty or broken. We can reject ones with  heavy staining, dry rot, pet hair or mold. Reasonable wear is fine.  Most clients have serious health issues and live in 3rd floor small apartments so size matters and smaller is better. Futons, bunk beds, daybeds, cots, air mattresses  welcome too. No platform or waterbeds. 

 

FURNITURE: MATTRESSES AND BED FRAMES  Twin, Full, Queen, NO KING, NO water beds, NO PLATFORM BEDS, NO HOSPITAL BEDS.  We welcome large hotel donations of mattresses! Ask us to send a tractor trailer to your company.  Mattresses alone YES. Box springs alone NO. We love: bunk beds, futons, toddler beds, daybeds and trundles.

 

KITCHEN TABLES/DINETTE SETS:

We love sets but happily accept groups of chairs (at least 2 chairs that match) and lone tables. No large hutches or china cabinets.   No single kitchen chairs. Must be study and fully functional.

  

BEDDING, CURTAINS AND RUGS:  (NO FLANNEL IN THE SUMMER )

PLEASE LABEL SIZES OF SHEETS  AND PUT IN PLASTIC BAGS This way they go out weeks faster.  Sheets, towels, shower curtains, new liners (no used liners), comforters, blankets, bathroom rugs, area rugs if clean (no pet hair or mold). Towels always welcome (we are not picky about wear on towels). NO duvets or down comforters. They are too expensive for clients to wash. Most clients do not have washing machines.


SMALL APPLIANCES AND BASIC KITCHEN GOODS: 

AC's (in summer), heaters (in winter), fans, lamps, microwaves (we never have enough of these), hand mixers, coffee makers, clocks, clock radios, irons, toaster ovens, toasters. Nothing that requires installation or extra wiring  (like ceiling fans or wall sconces).  Most of our clients rent and cannot repair apartments.


BATHROOM:

Bath towels, hand towels, washcloths are always needed.

We are not picky about small defects.  Curtains welcome but shower curtain liners  must be new.   Clean rugs are welcome.  Please no trash cans,toilet brushes or other unhygienic items. No decorations. Basic practical goods welcome.

 

LARGE APPLIANCES: Please include power cords and hoses. We welcome them working or not for $5. Let us know if it is known to be broken, but it is welcome either way.


ELECTRONICS: Sewing machines, game systems, MP3/4's, walk-mans, alarm clocks, radios, boom boxes and DVD's, anything currently useful with today's media. Flat screen TV's and computer monitors are welcome with no recycling fee. CPU's, and computer monitors are accepted (less than 3) for $5 recycling fee.


$5 RECYCLING FEE FOR OUTDATED ELECTRONICS stereo turntables, cassette decks VCR's, printers, scanners,typewriters, record players etc.

 

COMPUTER CPU's PENT IV or faster  if donated with the monitor, we wave the recycling fee for that monitor  (older computers and parts welcome for $5 fee)
