Our mission is to serve the homeless and very poor. We only provide goods to answer wishes so please help us by only donating basic useful things that people with very limited resources can us.
GOODS THAT WE DO NOT ACCEPT: desks, used toys, decorative items, file cabinets, sports gear, anything that requires installation or any dressy clothing. Please email us if you have questions about an item.
We welcome: Please call us if you have any doubts before you load up
TELEVISIONS: We do take color, cable ready TV's if they work. No console models please. They are too big.
CLOTHING: Casual only please but we welcome all sizes from baby to very large adult.
BABY GEAR: Cribs, strollers, swings, Pack-N-Plays, bassinets, crib bedding, baby towels, car seats ,baby tubs, high chairs, bouncy seats, breast pumps and changing tables. Diapers welcome even open packs. Formula in sealed cans.
COUCHES AND LOVESEATS that are not ripped.
We reserve the right to reject couches that do not have all the legs, are missing cushions, have heavy staining, dry rot, pet hair or mold. Reasonable wear is fine. Most clients have serious health issues and live in 3rd small apartments so size matters and smaller is better. Futons, daybeds, sleepers welcome too.
FURNITURE: MATTRESS SETS AND FOLDING BED FRAMES Twin, Full, Queen (no waterbeds, air beds are ok)
We welcome large hotel donations of mattresses! Ask us to send a tractor trailer. Mattresses alone YES. Boxsprings alone YES
We love: bunk beds, futons, toddler beds, daybeds and trundles.
KITCHEN TABLES/DINETTE SETS:
We love sets of tables with chairs in all sizes. No lone kitchen chairs. Tables without chairs are welcome.
BEDDING: TWIN, FULL, QUEEN (NO FLANNEL IN THE SUMMER PLEASE JUNE-AUGUST PLEASE)
PLEASE LABEL SHEET SETS WITH SIZE - They will go out weeks faster
Sheets, towels, shower curtains, new liners, comforters, blankets, bathroom rugs. Towels always welcome (we are not picky).
SMALL APPLIANCES AND BASIC KITCHEN:
AC's (summer), heaters (winter), fans, lamps, microwaves, hand mixers, coffee makers, clocks, clock radios, irons, toaster ovens, toasters.
Please nothing that requires extra wiring (like ceiling fans or wall sconces) Most of our clients rent and just don't do much home repair work.
BATH:
Bath towels are always needed. We are not picky about small defects. Please hold the hand towels. Used fabric curtains welcome but shower curtain liners must be new only. Hampers, spring loaded rods, curtains, rugs all welcome. Please no decorations but any basic practical goods welcome.
We always welcome washers, electric dryers, and refrigerators. RUST FREE PLEASE. We do not have a truck to pick up yet. Sorry. Working on it.
ELECTRONICS: Color TVs VCR's, game systems, walkmans, radios, boom boxes and DVD's are a big hit. NO console TV's, NO stereo turntables, NO casette decks
Gameboys and game systems welcome. Most go to kids in hospitals or in other critical situations that have lots of time on their hands while dealing with a crisis. USED GAMEBOY GAMES VERY WELCOME FOR LOCAL KIDS HOSPITAL PATIENTS. GAMEBOY COLOR OR ADVANCE.
Small box radios (wires for headsets - must have built in speakers) are very welcome for a program that needs them ongoing for children.
COMPUTER CPU's, laptops or sets PENT III(3) or better (please - complete sets or CPU's NO lone monitors, scanners or other peripherals). We welcome large corporate computer donations.
