Sweet siblings - 2 year old Lizel and 1 year old Esther visited the warehouse today with their parents. Mom and Dad were picking up warm winter clothing and baby gear for them. Luckily we had the high chairs they needed. Right now we need toddler car seats with 5 point harness, we gave out our last one yesterday. If you have any toddler car seats less than 5 years old we would love to have them to give out to our next client that needs one. Thank you for sharing with friends, family, neighbors and online groups that might have a toddler car seat to spare. ...

One mom and her 2 teen boys were some of today's super Saturday volunteers. The enthusiastic trio helped organize and assemble birthday bags for our young clients. Each bag contains everything needed to have a birthday party for 8 from a cake mix, frosting, plastic tablecloth, paper goods, napkins, cups, utensils, candles and party decorations all in a themed bag. Caseworkers are always so grateful to receive these for their young clients. We think everyone deserves a cake on their birthday! ...

BITS Bags help prevent developmental delay in poor children -
Did you know that poor children are at higher risk for developmental delay because they lack toys for stimulation. Our BITS Bag project (Basic Items for Toddler Success) tries to help those at risk families. The Wish Project partners with hundreds of social workers from many local early intervention programs including: Anne Sullivan, MSPCC, Clarendon and others. These BITS bags will go to therapist workers so that they can leave the toys in the home for the child and parent to play and practice between visits. Last year we gave out over 800 bags to families in Merrimack Valley. Follow this link thewishproject.org/projects/basic-items-for-tots-bits-bags/ for more information about the BITS Bags project. You can help by donating filled bags, collect items or sponsor a bag by making a financial contribution and we will supply a bag in your name, to honor a family member or in the name of your company. If you prefer to shop online you can purchase items from our Amazon BITS bag wish list www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1JAAXP665EH0J?ref_=wl_share and ship your donation directly to us. The deadline for project goods is March 28th. Please contact Lori at Lori@thewishproject.org and let her know how you would like to help. If you prefer not to shop follow the link to Donate Now interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E347989&id=4 .

If you stop in at the warehouse you may notice something missing - Patty isn't at her desk and she isn't calling out Lori or Dianne's name. She has moved her desk and office offsite to her kitchen. It may look different but nothing else has changed. She will be continuing to post to Facebook and Twitter, write the newsletter, schedule volunteers and in general keep the staff on their toes. She can still be reached by email at patty@thewishproject.org and she will continue to respond on Facebook to questions and direct messages. If she is working in her pajamas while British tv runs in the background, no one will be the wiser! ...
